September theme - upcycling

Thought I'd start a thread for ideas for the September challenge, as there wasn't one yet. Looking at the project ideas thread the upcycling suggestion seemed quite popular. How would that sound? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or any ideas about what to make from something upcycled?

I'd like to make a dress/top for Isabelle from some of my slightly too small fitted ladies t-shirts...

I did the dress for Emi from an old t-shirt Steph it's so easy.

Not sure if I have time in september as it's the month we go on holiday too.
I do have lots to upcycle though

Upcycling is a good theme I think. I have a pair of jeans that I'd love to make something from for Rhys, but have no idea what to do with them.

Upcycling is a great theme - lots of scope for us to make things we need, and lots of room for creativity! I might be biased though: I've just been making more upcycled CSP/breast pads

oooh yep sounds good ive got a sweater I want to turn into a soaker or vest for Honey

I'd forgotten about that! I've got two jumpers put aside for that purpose I snaffled the cashmere one I got (£1.50 in the charity shop!) for breast pads though - soooo soft I reckon upcycling is getting a pretty big thumbs up!

I'm in Though I never got time to do my 'grown-up' bag - just the kids ones I will get it done though as have lots of lovely fabric put aside... (famous last words or what?)
