I've tried the next leggings, they are nice, not too thin. I wore mine to death, so got a few holes in one pair around the stitching on the leg hem, but I just make sure I wear those with boots now!
I like cropped trousers a lot, or trousers you can roll up. I wear the tighter ones as leggings with a tunic and pumps, or the looser ones with a shorter top.
Next do some nice girly trainers, which might be a good idea if that's what you tend to wear now. Fabric trainers in floral prints and lilac or pink converse look great with jeans, leggings or shorts but are comfy and practical.
Also a pair of ballerina pumps are handy, and for summer, a good pair of comfy sandals - try tx maxx for birkenstocks etc.
Make use of next for most stuff if dp works there, and top up if you see something that you love and goes with what you have.
