Before having DD I spent £££s on clothes for myself, and had a huge wardrobe - particularly favouring Per Una and Monsoon skirts, and Long Tall Sally for most everything else.
Then I got
and got used to wearing the same few outfits over and over again and realised that in some ways it was a lot less stressful than having tons of clothes. I have also realised that it's a good idea to buy outfits as I like stuff to match, so if I buy a skirt now then I will tend to find a t-shirt that goes with it from the same shop, rather than never wearing it because nothing quite matches
I haven't bought anything like as much this year as I am still kidding myself that I'm going to lose weight eventually, the only stuff I have bought is because I had put on weight post DD.
this was what I bought in Sept when I went back to work following maternity leave.
Long Tall Sally - 2 pairs black work trousers
Monsoon - Pink shirt (for work)
Per Una - White shirt (for a wedding and now work)
Monsoon - Navy ruffled skirt (for a wedding and now work)
Monsoon - black cardigan (work)
Monsoon - pink cardigan (work)
Monsoon - red cardigan (work)
Monsoon - lilac cardigan (work)
Long Tall Sally - two pairs of jeans (one dark denim, one light denim)
Pair of black heeled DM shoes
Black knee high boots
3 new bras
I've just ordered this:
Long Tall Sally - two skirts (for work)
Long tall Sally - two vest tops (to match the skirts)
Autumn Sonata designs (BBM) - yoga waistband skirt in MM Retro Flowers fabric
I went to a clothes swap party and got a few good bits from there (going to another one tonight) and I also pick stuff up cheap on ebay to supplement my wardrobe if I need to, but I'm definitely trying to stay away from having so many clothes in future. I think my addiction has just passed onto buying stuff for DD instead, but at least as she grows out of stuff I have an excuse to buy more!
