Needs some black flat boots for work. I like these but I think they would be too slouchy

I have three slim fit dresses for work that have pencil skirts, and I can't live in heels all week. These are the dresses.

So I think I need a very neat boot with a shiny leather finish. Don't like patent boots as they catch on each other. An I have boots with a lowish heel (chunkier than a kitten heel but not that comfy) so I need either flat boots or a chunky cuban

Like them. I think the dresses need at least a wee heel x

Do they have to be tall I have found some cute short boots, but not sure if they would look right with the smart look.
When I think of pencil, skirts I always think of heels.

Hmm i am thinking they all look a bit casual which might just be the curse of the flat boot

I bought these today in M&S and they look lovely on, but I have thin ankles so I think they'd be a bit loose to wear with a skirt
