Growing my own salad

.... - I have pots the rest I am sure I can get hold of -

what are the quickest things I can grow and is it easy to tend xx

I kill nearly every plant I touch but have managed to grow rocket before. I'll be watching this thread as I'd love to try some more

I do really well with pak choi. Mixed salad leaves are great, as are pea shoots (tasty and dead easy), radish is easy too...

dummy talking here - do I just thrown in soil and seeds and I am done?

How often should I water?

Are you sowing outside? If so, clear the soil of weeds etc and dig out a little trench or two, sprinkle the seeds and cover over with a sprinkling of soil. If outside the water once or twice per day? Especially in this weather.

Different instructions if using greenhouse or something?

Oh and in terms of how long it takes it depends what you sow? It'll certainly be July before you have anything edible on your plate!
