Gardening game - ID these plants! New 15/10/17

Postby clothmama » Wed Jun 10, 2015 6:33 pm

Still struggling with what we have, not that I've had time to get out there! I thought I could take pics of what I'm stuck with and see if any of you can help! So here are todays:
Purple ball flowers:

These were just brown sticks in the winter but now have taken over about 20 square metres of the garden and are maybe 6-8 feet tall?

I think you just cut them down when they die or let them die down themselves and they ll keep coming each year. They're part of the onion family so I think they re a bulb.
I m a beginner too and that's all just what I assume ;)

The other one I don't know. My theory on lots of things is give them a good chop back and see what happens. If it grows again yay!

Never seen alliums before this photo (they're lovely) and then they were in vases when we went to pub for DH birthday lunch today!
