We are clearing a garden bed for herbs and these bulbs have come out, they are multi pronged, any ideas?

OK I know it is a fruit tree but that is it! I don't remember seeing any fruit last year but that isnt' to say there wasn't any but we didn't get into the house until June. Anyone got any ideas now it is starting to bud and they look white?

It could be a cherry tree if you don't remember fruit as that appears earlier. If I remember correctly white blossom is usually a wild variety whereas pink is an ornamental one. I could be wrong though!
It'll be exciting waiting to see!

We have a cherry but it's not netted or in a cage or anything and the birds get them all.

Ahhh maybe!! There are some others we are not sure of yet either but I guess it is hard to tell until the fruit comes as they all have blossoms! Do you mean cherries are the first to fruit @confusinglady ?

I think cherries are one of the first fruits to blossom and fruit just from memory and as with all of my gardening/tree knowledge it's random things my dad told me once :giggle:
I wish I could remember the things he says more accurately! He knows so much about this stuff. He used to grow veggies in our garden and his father managed forests for a job.
