I am an idiot - I planted my beans ages ago, then got busy, then it got too hot to go out etc etc etc and I never put the poles in! My sister / dh / bil helped me get some up and I'm out there on a stool trying to unravel the long beans going all over the floor :x :x :x

I m not sure idiot is the right word @clothmama .... Maybe overwhelming busy would be the correct description :giggle:

I'm guessing my lettuces are the last of this years produce going in! have planted 12 of a variety that I forget a couple of weeks ago and have bought another 12 today so should have salad through until Christmas and possibly beyond!

Can't wait for next year. Kids really love the garden so will be so nice to spend time together getting it sorted.

Will have clothmama for my inspiration! Be asking you all sorts :)

And as it turns out @confusinglady crazily anaemic :giggle: I'm just so thrilled that I haven' really lost my gardening mojo (been struggling between mind and body for so long) I'm 'just' anaemic and I can't wait for the tablets to kick in :yahoo: bring on the digging! :yahoo: I managed about 45 minutes today but when I got exhausted feeling instead of feeling down and not getting it I just accepted it and packed up my tools.

Exactly!! And gardening on that scale is tiring @clothmama!
I popped in this morning and thought I'd add some up dates on my patch, uploaded some photos to my gallery but then ran out of time oops!
It was the first day of Tess' dance show - super proud of her :) she was great!
Just tomorrow to go and we can have a few weeks off!

All looking a bit sad and sorry for itself now! With my anaemic wipe out of a summer I never got any pics when it was at it's best either! You can see my flower area to the right - the cosmos's are just glorious- I'm thrilled with them and will be planting more of them next year for sure! My bean structure collapsed this week as you can see so I picked most of the stuff off today and will finish getting it pulled apart and stored for next year. I've managed to grow all my own bean seeds for next year too which I'm pleased about - they are just finishing drying - I'll grab a pic tomorrow.

This courgette has been amazing - it is the only one that worked for me this year  but at some points I was getting nearly one a day off it - you can see how long it has got! A week or two ago I cut off most of it's leaves as it had powdery mildew and the 4 or 5 left have grown and it is growing more courgettes for me too!
