Today's work removing a fairly large conifer and clearing back tons of ivy.

Fence was rotten underneath the ivy but we knew that and it's being replaced in a couple of weeks anyway. Can't believe how much bigger the garden looks with the tree and climbing frame removed!

The tree being out makes a huuuuuuge difference! Well done you - big job! I think the new fence will make it look lighter and cleaner too so will probably feel even bigger!

Thanks @clothmama, I'm absolutely loving getting all the jobs done in the garden this year. There's still lots left to do. There are loads of shrubs that were out of control before we moved in and we've pretty much left them for the almost 6 years we've been here so I'm basically redesigning the garden completely one area at a time  .

Today's progress. Lots of clearing and also removing another bush that was strangling my cherry tree.

Next job is removing this massive millstone that I found under the conifer

Oh the millstone is lovely! I hope you are going to use it and not get rid of it (I mean for decoration not to mill anything :hohoho: :hohoho: :hohoho: ).

Looking amazing, can't wait to see what you do with it - have you got plans or were you waiting to see what it looked like?
