No, perpetual spinach isn't chard, but it is the same species of plant. Perpertual spinach is a beet but tastes like spinach. It has smaller leaves and has been bred not to go to seed/bolt like spinach does. It just goes on and on, as in the 'perpetual bit' :giggle:
