When we are both working full time, one of us does the housework whilst the other bathes Oliver.

I will be doing most of the housework when I am on maternity leave, but DH will do more of the evening things with the children. I'm not sure how it will work, to be honest, but I was always taught 'leave a room the way you would like to find it'

I hope that I would be able to tidy our bedrooms whilst getting dressed / getting the children dressed. Dishes ideally would be done after each meal, along with the relevant sweep up of table and floor. Toys would be tidied away as we go, and then a final sweep with them helping before going up to bath / bed.

Oliver does play on his own / 'reads' books / watches TV, so I can sneak 15 mins here and there. Otherwise, it will have to be around activities for him and the baby.

I think the thing is for me, that if I can keep on top of things and not let anything get hideously dirty etc, then it's quicker to keep on top of, so lots of little and often.

I could come back to this in a few months when things have settled down and think what a lot of codswallop though :hiding: :giggle:

I try to involve Scarlett in it, she loves to dust, strip the bed (then bounce on it) etc - this is why its all broken down into small jobs so that she isnt left or creating mess elsewhere lol.

On Tuesday my biggest cleaning day where i do all of downstairs i get the colouring box & pads out and suggest a movie in the background, this keeps her happy whilst the floor is wet after mopping lol.
