Cream fabric dye? Does it exist?

Postby Twinkletoes » Mon Jul 30, 2012 10:06 pm

The only sheets I can find to fit my Moses basket mattress (sleepcurve, so needs a funny shaped sheet) are white. I believe they do come in pink or blue, but my basket dressings are cream, so this is no use either. I do have normal cream sheets, but it doesn't dip in the curve bit, so isn't going to work.

I know it's quite fussy, but it's really going to annoy me looking at white sheets! I thought this would be an easy job for some dylon, but the closest shade I can find is beige, and well, it's too beige!

I need to buy online - does anybody have any ideas what I should be looking for?

TIA.

Unfortunately I have never been able to find it (ds1's school shirts are cream  and hideously expensive) the closest I have come to is mixing suflower yellow and pebble (dylon) for 5 white shirts I use 4 tablespoons of pebble and 2 of yellow mixed well with 500g of salt. If you do find any please let me know :D I can't 100% say my method will work as I dye onto pollycotton and the stitching always turns slightly pinker for some reason (I don't care as I refuse to pay 17€ per shirt for a 6 year old  )

sorry, but it needs to be said... you are all certifiable. I know some very good psychiatrists specialising in Obsessive Sheet Colour Matching Disorder...!

How could anybody live with white and cream bedding simultaneously?!

I though I'd maybe put the sheepskin on top of it and then it wouldn't offend my eyes, but last night I read bad stuff about babies and sheepskin, so don't think I'll be doing that now.

Just need to find a sheet maker! Or try it myself....
