This is our toy storage - its an ikea unit with boxes. Each box is 'themed' so depending on her mood i get down the relevant box (dressing up, art, dolls etc)

We used to have a sea grass chest but tbh i hated it as she would want 'x' toy and then i would have to dig for the damn thing. At least this way its much easier to get her what she wants without too much stress.. and now she is older she can just get the box herself (obv asking an adult to get the higher ones, but the higher ones are less played with toys)

Theres also a box with books there for downstairs and upstairs she has a book case in her bedroom which is currently rammed with books because she loves to read lol.

Her bigger things like dolls pram, wheely bug and bilibo are at the side of the other sofa in the room.

We have that exact unit in white turned on its side with two baskets the wicker ones, I wanted seagrass as I love the smell but they were out of stock. I need more baskets for it really .
Do you have a dolls house , Vanian's ect just wondering about storage of those?
Also dressing up clothes ...Pearl currently has two dresses ( but more on the way for her birthday) and the two dresses already fill one space in the unit , I was thinking about getting a mini clothes rail , but ideas welcome!

Darcy's toys are a mess at the moment and the majority are stuck in her bedroom and have been looking at storage solutions for downstairs too! Do you have a link to which units they are from Ikea? as they would be perfect for our living room!!

We dont have a dolls house but i do have a massive 3 piece wooden kitchen set which did live in the dining room but just today i've moved upto her bedroom. Ideally it could do with its own storage so that the units themselves are empty for play - this is something i may need to think about myself, currently all of the wooden foods, pans etc are 'in' the units (she has a cooker, sink unit and washing machine) but it would be good if they werent.

She has a LOT of dressing up clothes so there are also some in a draw in her bedroom - i tend to rotate them as the ones in the downstairs basket go in the wash, or just let her get out what she wants from upstairs.

A seagrass chest is great but i would either put boxes inside it to keep toys separated or maybe use it for storage of boxed games/teddies.

Scarlett also has an ottoman in her bedroom which houses all of her soft toys, she really loves teddies so unfortunately any that she is given tend to have to stay!

Its the Ikea Expedit. It works out quite expensive once you buy boxes for it BUT... it has been fab and i think we've had it 2yrs+ now and its all still new looking so was worth the pennies, especially for my sanity :hohoho:
