I get that, Sara. The children do need to know that we put them above housework.

It's such a hard thing to juggle and I'm not sure anyone feels like they get the balance right.

As our children grow up, I want them to know that I will stop to play with them and I do prioritise time with them. Sadly they will also have to learn that sometimes DH and I must do things round the house.

I'm sorry that you are feeling bad about things. Would it be helpful for you to work out what is truly essential to do and what's just good. Im thankful that Isaac is now old enough to 'help' with putting the washing on or hanging it out and in this weather Oliver is happy to play outside whilst we potter.

The other thing we do is only one of us does things at any one time in the day so the other one can play with the boys. I guess if you are on your own then that's not possible.

Rob works a lot :( Isobella is so good at helping but she is having a phase of wanting to be joined at the hip with me which I am trying to embrace :giggle: when I start work in September I will have a cleaner every week so that will help . I book them for one offs now and then maybe I will ring tomorrow

I have a clutter problem it needs sorting I need to get to the bottom if that then do a car boot I think q
