Boys toilet help! Update pg3

I'm living in a house with 3 males!
And no matter how clean the toilet and bathroom is .... I can still smell "boys wee"
It has a distinctive smell that female wee just doesn't have!

I hate spraying chemical air freshener because it sets my asthma off (let alone what it does to the children's lungs!)

I don't really want a blue/toilet rim block either.

Any other ideas mamas?

Does it smell in the loo or elsewhere? Only bicarb got rid of the smell of boys wee off my floor

What is the flooring in the bathroom?

white vingear is the only thing I know of that will get rid of it

also we (or should I say DH) gets Lockie to wee without holding onto his doodle, he just faces into the potty, so we don't seem to have as many 'spraying the floor' accidents as other people do.

Our loo is in a small separate room to the bathroom. The whole thing smells of boys wee!

its cheap vinyl that we inherited when we bought the house!

Could it be getting under the vinyl? That would be my biggest suspect!

DH and Max often sit down to wee

I would strongly suspect it will have run under the vinyl (at least that is what happens in my house!). One of the school mum's I know has four boys and a husband and call the bit at the side of the toilet p*ss alley! Boys!

Oh yes and things improved in my house when I left a tub of cereal hoop things in the bathroom and got my eldest to throw one in the loo and try to "sink" it. It made actually aiming much more fun apparently!
