Operation house declutter 2014

KITCHEN
HAd a child free day yesterday from 1pm so me and rob blitzed the kitchen! writing it down so i can see how much we got done and encourage more on operation house declutter 2014

The aim is to spend more time in the kitchen as a family, we are moving the dining table in there and then the kids can chill out in there while i make tea (instead of watching TV!) and we can eat in there (instead of watching TV! and eating) The bins/recelying situation is a nightmare so have bought some organisers from ikea

We have to make all the bottom cupboards Leon friendly then he can mess/play/pull everyhting out Then put all my dyes/citric acid and other non kid friendly stuff high up at the monet i am just stopping him getting into all the cupboards

Done so far

Cleared out under the sink, thrown away lots of crap
Cleaned and put a new bin in there for rubbish (instead of using a carrier bag on the door handle)
Organised the yarn cupboard
Organised all greenabubs stuff and moved it to higher cupboards except my files
Cleared the greenabubs workspace
Cleared the work tops got rid of all the stuff we dont use
Cleaned and organised all foods into lower cupboards through all stuff away that wasnt needed
Cleared a drawer for all teatowels and clean clothes to live in so all in one place

TO DO
Declutter the recipe book/household paperwork/random tat cupboard
Baking drawer declutter
cultrery drawer declutter
top drawer declutter
clear the windowsill and sink area and scrub
Move the ikea play kitchen into the living room
Dismantle dining table and then put it up in the kitchen

LOUNGE

So this is a real family room, i like the kids stuff being in here i want all their books and toys in here The dining table is going into the kitchen and so i am making a little kiddie area in its place it will have the toy kitchen and i would like a little work area for izzy liek a desk maybe hmm

We are going to buy some storage units to store books and toys

TO DO
Empty the TV UNIT
DEcide on new furniture and organise it

HALL AND LANDING

Scrub the old recycling tubs which are washing baskets ! One in the hall and one in the landing
Get a shoe rack!
Tidy the coat rack as its overflowing
Find a storage solution so I stop losing everything keys, phone ect.

FRONT ROOM



Just do not know where to start will have to one bac to this as its stressing me

Kids room

I have spent the past two weeks prepping this for izzys birthday

Done
Decluttered the bookcase
Moved all toys out as they were never played with just trashed when friends came over and izzy not one for playing in her room anyway
Gave majority of soft toys to an orphanage with izzys help, such a kind girl
Decluttered the chest of drawers lots given away
Same with wardrobe
Wires hung up ready for voiles

To do today aka operation frozen inspired room
Remove pink bed stuff
Covers and curtains will be staying as tink as they are turquoise and will suit because couldn't find nice frozen ones
Hang voiles all around the bed
Hang the drape to the ceiling
Hang voiles in the window and the main wall
(all these are white with silver specks like a snow effect)
Apply wall decals frozen of course!
Build the lampshade! It's a crystal type one with lots of pieces
Find the stereo so her cd can be played
Last thing will be putting all her pressies in there

I did all this but the toys just didn't get played with so I made a play room, now all their stuff is out and fabulous lol
