OK so need to start planning and writing my shopping list. I've got tables and the numbers aren't as high as they could have been which is making things easier! I'm at around 25 adults and 8 kids (not counting Remy!) depending on final RSVPs
Aperos:I've bought a 4L glass drink dispenser

so going to make a lovely fruity punch with vodka / white rum probably some soda water, lemonade, orange, pineapple and mint leaves
Beer
Pastis
Wine
Soft drinks for the kids
Easy nibbles: chips, nuts, olives, salamis
Some hot nibbles: bought ones plus some homemade ones (x3 - maybe the meat balls, the zucchinni fritters with mint yogurt dressing, plus melon wrapped with parma ham)
Main:Mixed skewers - veg, chicken, beef, pork with satay sauce (plus some people will probably show up with some other meat / sausages etc I'd say)
Rice
Salads (had offers from a few people to do something so am saying to bring a side dish). I'll make a couple from the garden - definitely a zucchini (courgette) one
Teen / tweens dinner:Hotdogs with fried onions, sauces etc
Dessert:Icecreams (cornetto variety - going to keep it fun and simple!)
Birthday cake
Movie stuff for kids:Popcorn
Sweets
How does that sound?

Will have space now numbers are confimed and now tables as my neighbour (deputy mayor

) is organising them for me to sit down for the meal so can have my pretty table to eat at and my other tables scattered around for aperos (pre dinner drinks) plus garden games scattered around as well with haybales for people to sit on with cloth covers if I can find something to use! So far going to do garden yatzee (huge dice - to make from wood), petenque (boules), Koob (viking stick throwing game), maybe my small table with Backgammon and we have bought a projector so going to hang a sheet and put a movie on for the kids once it gets dark.
Music,

still need to do a play list - going to have lots of 70s music - ABBA was the big thing in 1976 when I was born

Also need to find out what was cool here in the 70s and see if I can find something I like / know too!
