Steam Mop

I'd like.to get a steam mop, does anyone have one? What are the pros and are there any cons? And finally what is a reasonably priced decent one to buy?

I used to have a K'Archer steam cleaner with a mop attachment. It was brilliant but very faffy to fill and allow to cool, and the hot tank was a complete liability with children around - not sure if dedicated steam mops have these built in, as ours sat on the floor with a long steam hose up to the cleaner. It got absolutely boiling hot and emitted loads of steam and had to be left to cool down for close to an hour until I could empty it.

Also depends on what kind of floors u want to use it on as they can damage some.

Tiles in kitchen and utility and laminate in lounge/diner.

I wouldn't risk a steam mop on an unsealed laminate floor and steam mops aren't recommended to be used on stone or granite tiles but should be ok on ceramic.

i have one used it on lamonate and lino. Ours cools down quick, never felt it too be dangerous had it since izzy was s baby. I dont have a normal mop now

I used to poopoo the idea of them a while back - what's wrong with an ordinary mop I said...

But erm I've warmed to the idea
