Dyson here too. Our first lasted about 8yrs and probably could have been repaired, but costing it up we decided to get a new one instead, just didn't go for the latest. We've had this one for 2-3yrs with no problems.

Dyson DC19T. It's a cylinder as the loft conversion means we have 2 sets of stairs and anything else was too heavy. Its light and very easy to use. It's my first Dyson and both the cleaner and I love it.

We have a dyson DC18(slimline upright allergy ball one) I hardly use it as DH does most of the hoovering, he loves it though and it is very light, I have issues with my pelvis so can't push anything heavy round at all and I don't have any issues with this hoover at all. DH says it has 3 filters on it but 2 of them only need cleaning about once every 6 months so not too bad and the ammount of dirt it picks up is amazing.

We have a vorwerk and it is amazing! My nan has had hers for nearly 25 years and mum has had hers for over 15 years and they are both still going strong and apart from being serviced a couple of times they have never had any problems with either of them! I got a reconditioned one from ebay and it is just as good as theirs - I would love a brand new one but they are in the region of about £600 I think so a bit out of my price range :giggle:

We have a henry-love him! The power lead is mega long+plug it in in the lounge and can do all of downstairs and the stairs. It was about 100 iirc, and it's great. We had a dyson before... And had nothing but hassle, and i found it really heavy.

Another Dyson here, not sure which one, think it might be dc04, it's old, over 10 years, but brilliant. The services /repairs from Dyson are expensive but they literally go through the entire machine and replace anything that needs it, you end up with a practically brand new machine. We haven't needed to do it yet but might soon as the bit where you hook the head when it's put away is cracked.

Yep. Thats the one!

I got it because the old dyson i had (the animal 'regular' style one) was a beast and i struggled doing the stairs with it. Once we had all the building works done DH treated me to the roller one and its great.

We have a rollerball one too but not a pet one and it is fab. We had our last dyson for over ten years.
It does have filters but very easy to and clean.
Roller ball took me a bit of getting used to but I love it now.
Xxx
