I think this a unfair- I actually would love to HE my children but due to circumstances can't- I am a member of our school parent council (now both schools my oldest recently started high school) so i can have a better understanding of how the school runs, support it and try to change things if needed, thus trying to improve the school for my children.

Seems very strange to decide to not home educate for such a reason, especially if you had every intention of doing it!There are many other ways to get together with other children; not being able to go to one HE group is a bizarre decider as presumably you had other reasons for wanting to home educate?

Without knowing what happened, I don't think you're in a position to judge whether or not my response was proportional or 'bizarre'. As it happened, I wasn't the only one to make the same decision.
