Welcome to our new Home Education forum

Postby clothmama » Fri Jul 15, 2011 12:13 am

Thank you for your excited response on Steph's thread to me setting up a forum for you to use :D . I hope that it becomes a handy resource and area of support for you all that already HE and those that are considering it.

For those of you that have already started a thread on home schooling could you please link me to it so they can all be moved in here (am having trouble finding them  I may need to get Louise the searching queen onto it  :giggle: ).

If you would like any particular sub-forums to keep this organised from the start then please let me know and I can get them set up :D

Please let me know if I've used any wrong terminology or if anyone can think of a better description for the forum or any other ideas you have as well :D

nappynutter wrote:How about a sticky for home education and the law so we can add links for the various UK education acts and HE guidelines?

To start us off -

The Education (Scotland) Act 1980

Home Education Guidance for Scotland

Definitely. And maybe a sticky for resources/ideas? I think it would be really nice to have a 'today/this week we are learning...' a little like the daily thread in chat/domestic goddess.
Sooo exciting
