HAH! Well she can do it when she wants!

Ok so after DH expressed his concerns I thought I'd catch Isabelle in the right mood and do some reading with her... No issues - she read an ORT stage2(green) book with me no bother, yes she struggled a little with longer words she'd never seen before but she can clearly read but lacks confidence, she told me she was scared she'd be shouted at or laughed at!

But she was SO much less stressed about it than she was when she was at school and it was lovely to sit and patiently help her with it as DH was here to capture Grace's attention...

So despite having not practiced for ages she's obviously fine just lacks the interest in it so we'll do a little regular practice with recognising words and stuff and go from there...

DH was quite apologetic to her once he realised she was fine and I wish I hadn't doubted her too!!

Ah well there you go...

Zach has come on leaps and bounds recently, he has the same reactions as Isabelle with the lack of confidence and not wanting to give it a go, but he seems to have cracked it in recent weeks. Its so nice to read a book with him without having to coerce him into it
