Birmingham Home Ed groups

Postby LilMrsAverage » Fri Feb 03, 2012 12:37 pm

I am struggling to find any Birmingham home Ed groups - the couple that I have found seem to be inactive or with 1 member lol.

I've tried facebook, yahoo and just googling?

Can anyone help x

We are just dipping our toes in and the whole socialisation part is a huge thing for DH and so I need to be able to show him, - there were huge active groups in derby and I thought Birmingham would be even bigger so I must be looking in the wrong places!

Have you gone through any of the bigger sites like Education Otherwise? There is a national yahoo group too, you might find some on there. If nothing comes up let me know and I'll ask around on our groups as I think we have some that go over to Rugby and further in that direction.

How long has it been? I can't remember how long it took for my acceptance for the yahoo group. There's a FB page too but its not as well used. I can invite you to the FB group if you pm me your details. :D There might not be much on next week anyway as most home educators avoid going anywhere during half term :giggle:

not really there seems to be a big HE presence but most of the meetings / activities are right out on the outskirts mainly north of brum and I don;t drive so its 3 or 4 bits of public transport and by the time we got there it would be over

I am thinking of trying to find some HE'er in Birmingham to arrange some central activities x
