3 years old and his world is ending!

Postby gilbertandmartha » Wed May 16, 2012 2:51 pm

OMG I am having some serious issues with Lockie. he is usually a really happy go lucky boy, but recently the smallest thing triggers a complete meltdown. Today it was because his favourite episode of dinosaur train wasnt on, and then when I went upstairs for a shower he had another meltdown because i couldnt keep reading his favourite story over and over.

he is totally inconsolable when its happening.

Please tell me its just a phase that lasts from their third birthday until they are 3yrs and 1 month old ( I can cope with another week or so :giggle: )

We are melt down city too. She seems to be making issues to melt down over... dont want to get up, dont want to go to bed, dont want to wear a dress or trousers or leggings, dont want to go out, dont want to stay at home... you get the idea.

I think its to do with imminent arrivals, but who knows. Its bloody hard work isnt it!!

Martha was the same at 3, I think they are just starting to realise that the world doesn't revolve around them and it's a bitter pill to swallow!

How are you all able to describe my boy perfectly?

Tonight he asked for tomato cheese on toast and then complained when it was put down in front of him as it had cheese on it :sigh:
