Hi Annette,

Thanks for the help with the technique. I'll definitely give that a try - it sounds like it will fit well with us. Good advice too about alternating the parent who puts the LO to bed. Up until now it's always been me. But I think encouraging DH to help is a really good idea - just to get her used to going to sleep with someone other than me close by. It's silly the habits you get into that you don't realise you've formed, that may be working against you. :oops:

Good luck with Ben. I'm fairly lucky, really; at least I only have Iris to care for. I can't imagine how much more demanding it must be to have a busy toddler to look after, too.

forgot to say, if your dh can do his fair share of going to Iris in the night that is good - he will probably find it easier as she won't smell your milk. I know Ben always seems to settle quicker for Mark :roll:

FC a few nights of this and Iris will stop waking - let us know how you get on when you are back from holiday :D
