Clicky Hips

So Penny has to have a scan for clicky hips (I did get a more technical name!) apparantly P's buttocks and creases are asymmetric

Anyone else had to get this checked out???

It is a very common issue for babies - that is why us MWs / GPs and others I'm sure are forever rotating their hips and checking them (we do it at least twice before babies leave the hospital!). Hip dysplasia is possibly the word you have heard? She may have to wear a harness for a while if they think it is bad enough although the old treatment was double layer cloth nappies as it keeps the hips in far better alignment than thin disposables!

Yesall mine had a vague click but by 6weeks it was fine. My brother had it as a child and had to wear double terries for awhile. My cousins son also has it and has to wear a hip brace for a bit. Generally it gets sorted easily
