Breathing and temperature

Postby sim » Sun Nov 23, 2014 5:36 pm

Quick advice please... L is unwell, his temperature has gone up from 39 to 39.5 (in ear) after a dose of calpol. No rash, but his resp rate is well over 40 breaths per minute, as high as a breath per second at times and a bit raspy on both in and out . He's less grumpy after the meds but should he be seen with that breathing?

His temp came down and breathing was much better about 15 mins after I posted this, so just keeping an eye in him for now.
Thanks ladies!

He woke at 8:30 but DH (who is a baby whisperer most of the time!) got him back to sleep quickly.
Pretty sure he'll end up in our bed at some point. He still has a low grade fever but was much perkier by bedtime.

Thank you for asking
Xx
