Izzy was in a cot bed before she could walk lol it made it easier putting her to sleep and night feeds I would just get in the bed :giggle:

Leon never slept in a cot, ever. Little monkey. He has always been in ours or in izzys double bed with her.

Does the side come off the cot ?

Eddie was in a cot until 2.5 but Oscar never went into a cot. He went from a co sleeping crib to a mattress on the floor then once he could safely crawl off Eddie's bottom bunk, he went into that (around 12m I think).

Could you just take the side off his cot? Or use the cot mattress on the floor until you've got a room sorted for him? You could always put it on pallets or something so the airflow is good.

We are going to see if J can sort something out for us to take the sides off and add some sort of plank to hold it all together!

That isn't a bad idea at all although J thinks I'm obsessed with pallet projects :hohoho: :hohoho:

The older son was 2 when he started actively exploring the apartment. How afraid I was that he might hurt himself. I ordered a high chair that allows you to adjust the height, it was a good option. Plus, I had to close the doors to the bedroom because the bed there is high and he could fall.
