My dd has a necklace, and we certainly find it makes a difference.

As to how it works, it's something to do with oils being released and absorbed into the skin.

Amber is a natural analgesic. Natural Amber resin contains tracel elements of succininc acid (the analgesic), when amber is worn next to the skin, the body heat warms the amber and teeny traces of the succininc is absorbed through the skin acting as a natural form of pain relief. It is completely natural and is therefore considered totally safe for all age groups etc.

Yes, they work like magic, Gracie has a necklace (and opps that reminds me to pay for her bracelet) and they defiantly help keep them calmer and less "bothered" iykwim x

Definitely and yes like magic. I know within minutes if I've forgotten to put Kacie's on. She gets whingier quicker and is less easily soothed.

Yes, but I think what's good about the ones Jan sells is that they are knotted between each piece of amber, so should a snapped necklace occur you're not risking your little one chocking on lots of beads as only one would fall off, IYSWIM. Check out what it explains on the link Jan posted about how they're made. Also the magnetic clasp on the ebay one I would say would be easy for a baby to just pull off when they're messing with it, which they do. You're better if they're a screw clasp, IMO, as it's less likely then to unexpectedly get undone and lost
