Still coughing but a small weight gain - yipeeeeeeeee!

A quick update. My son's still coughing but his weight has increased slightly for the first time in 6 weeks .

Although his weight was tracking between the 50-75% percentiles, it's now going along the 25% percentile. As others have pointed out the graph in the Red Book is based on bottle fed babies. The slowing down and 25% percentile weight line is more common for breastfed babies.

I've got several friends with breastfed babies (like my daughter is) and 3 of them all had trouble with HVs and the graphs and weight gain, and they're all healthy happy toddlers now! (one is still on the small side but he eats tons so obviously just the way he's built!)

Bit bothersome over the cough - are the GPs still being useless? If you're concerned get a referral to paediatrics asap...
