Abbie has loads of books, but the ones she reaches for tend to be...

5 cheeky monkeys (not so much now but she LOVED it when she was Rhys' age)
Tiger
The tiger who came to tea
Guess how much I love you all year round
LKittle red hen is one of her favourites

As well as the gruffalo, the hungry caterpillar, and I'm sure there are loads more which I'll try to add later :)

We have a lot of what has been mentioned, as well as ROom on the Broom and the Gruffalo we also have Th Snail and the Whale and Sharing a Shell, both by Julia DOnaldson. Martha doesn't really like the Gruffalo - my fave is Room on the Broom and hers is proabaly Sharing a Shell (but then the book is sparkly so that might explain it!!)

Mog the Forgetful cat and the Tiger who came to tea are both great

We have had The Cow that Laid an Egg and The Bog Baby from the library recentl

Also Giraffes Can't Dance is a favourite, Martha knows all the words, and I love you Blue Kangaroo is great (and there are a load of Blue Kangaroo books to go at)

It's a bit older (as in longer) but a neighbour bought Martha This Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown for her birthday and she LOVES it, really great story

Given he's a boy he might also like the How Do Dinosaurs book - How do dinosaurs play with their friends, How do dinosaurs say goodnight - they have pictures of actual dinosaurs not cartoonified, so Martha can now say Stegosaurus!!!!!

Not sure if you will have had your Bookstart books yet but we got two great ones in there at our 2 year healthcheck, the Book of Sleep and One Ted falls out of Bed, both of which she loves

(the last 2 aren't really bedtime books but he requests them!)

Our little one loves 'No Bed without Ted' - it's a short, rhyming story that we used to just get him used to having a story at bedtime. It might be a little too young for your LO now, but could be a good starting point for you. :D

"Stick Man"
Our fave book atm! We bought it a week ago and it has been read
about 4 times a day incl. bedtime! It's from the creators of
The Gruffalo so should fit in nicely.
My little ones love it and when I read the "I'm Stickman....." part
Michael has fits of giggles :giggle:
LOVE THIS BOOK! lol
Also Santa makes an appearance towards the end.

WSS. Bella knows all the things Stick Man has to beware of and shouts them at me as I get to that part of the book. She also loves that there is a Gruffalo decoration on the Xmas tree!!
