HVs can be great!

R had her 7-9 month check this week, and I was surprised how laid back and supportive the HV was. R is dropping down the percentiles weightwise, but the HV put it down to her being so active. She pushed her baby walker across the living room yesterday! When I told her we were doing BLW she asked if that meant that she was eating lumps. She thinks that many mums keep them on smooth food for too long. Plus she was OK about R waking in the night and co-sleeping! And ...................... she was admiring her side-snap nappies .
I must be lucky where I live as I have always had a positive response from HVs, Drs and midwives about our cloth nappies and I do know quite a few mums who use cloth, co-sleep and sling.
