Aww poor baby :(
U're doing the right thing leaving well alone. U can get loads of calcium from plants sources & fish/crushed fish bones, also tofu (firm tofu can be made into a nice strawberry dessert, and u'd never know it was tofu!)- doesn't need to be dairy substitutes like soya etc.

Big hugs for u, it's awful when our babies are suffering. x

I was searching for some info myself as my 19 month old is being reintroduced to dairy at the moment. I got the info below from the dietician at Kings Hospital in London so I hope it helps.

Stage 1 - cakes, biscuits, bread containing milk eg rich tea or digestives, scones, cheesy breadsticks, pastry, shortbread, croissant, brioche, cheese crackers etc
trifle, rice pudding, custard

Stage 2 - yoghurt / yoghurt drink

stage 3 - cheese on toast, pizza with cheese topping
plain cheese not cooked
foods containing milky sauce such as lasagne, fish pie and shepherds pie

stage 4 - cows milk heated
cows milk not heated

keep a record of

how much dairy has been consumed
in what form
symptoms

The idea is to start with a teaspoon (or small amount) of the food containing milk
If there is no reaction, gradually increase the quantity until the child can tolerate a portion
repeat this process with other foods within the stage
If the child reacts, step down to the last type of food that the child was able to eat and discuss with allergy team

Good luck! Suzanne

Thanks :)

2 Years on he can now have everything apart from cows milk In a cup...he eats ice-cream, cheese, yoghurt etc but he still drinks oat milk as a cows milk alternative :) he does occasionally complain of tummy ache and I don't know if that's related but In general his tolerance is much much better :)

We only give it to him in moderation ;)
