Help.packing list!

Postby nabroc » Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:05 pm

DP's mum has invited us up to hers for new year when DP goes home after Christmas. We'll be up there for a week. I've finally got around to thinking what we'll need to take with us (DS is 28 months) and now I'm having a bit of a panic as my head has gone blank

Any advice on a generic packing list/ things you couldn't do with out greatly appreciated :D

P.S we have a 4 1/2 hour train journey each way :panic: :panic: :panic:

ETA: They haven't had a toddler in the house for a fair few years.

lots or crayons and paper for the journey, books and snacks

whereas the packing is concerned when i took alesha away at 4mnths and 7months (which included 12 hrs on a coach there and back) for a week to see family i sat and thought about what she used in a day and worked it from that

Just clothes, don't go too mad as you will be able to do washing, some toys etc and that is about it. Our kids always take their own pillows away with them.
I always go on the theory that If I forget something I really need they live near shops so I can nip out and buy. Another thing we do is buy things there that can be kept there, ours have toys and bikes at my folks x
