as a mummy who's bay only speaksin sign and who's current favorite is biscuit I can confirm what the other ladies have said that she is indeed asking for a biscuit in makaton signing! It's surprising how easy they seem to find it to learn

Yup, they always learn the food related ones first.

We all are deaf and that sign would indicate biscuit My Lo does this all the time although I just give him strawberries instead!

i do find it funny that she's been asking for what is probably the last thing she'd ever find in this house... but i feel a tad bad that the poor thing's been hungry. i should have come to you guys at the start of the weekend when she first started it. she was saying a 2-syllable word along with it, but couldn't understand it... so it all fits together.

Aww at least you know what she is saying/signing now, Alesha has never been taught sign but has made about 6 of her own signs up

Amelie can sign biscuit & cake both of which we never have in the house but it doesn't stop her asking 10 times a day

I did wonder what sign language Something Special use. I assume it's makaton? Is it very different to BSL. I'll have to learn some of it because she does a couple of signs that I don't have a clue what they are
