DS is poorly :-(

He's 13 months and this is the first time he's been ill. On Friday evening he had a temperature and didn't seem like his usual self, I gave him some calpol and he seemed much better. Woke up fine yesterday morning and was fine all day, but then in the night he kept waking up crying and had a temperature of 39 degrees. This morning he seems happy enough, apart from a runny nose and slightly runny poo... I've been giving him lots of water, stripping him down to his nappy and giving calpol when he's had a temperature, is there anything else I can do?

Nurofen is better for lowering temps if you want to use the medicated route
G had a temp of 41 the other night, I just stripped her off and made sure she had fluids and it came down naturally, like your DS she wasn't poorly poorly but just not right, has a runny nose and the sneezles now x

Thanks, I've just bought some, will try it temp is under 38 at the mo so heading in the right direction. He's got two teeth coming through, I wonder if that could be what's causing it? He has a super runny nose too.

My DS always reacted just like you discribed when teething sound like your doing everything right.

Poor love

Max came down with a a case of the sneezes, snuffles and a temp at the start of the week. I dosed him with Calpol and kept him dressed in light layers.
