Was that the one that you wanted to do originally? Go for it - go start the thread with pic, pattern link etc  :whip: :giggle: @MissFrodo

OK just having a think about the size issue as brought up by Esther in the Vincent thread. There is a tutorial here about getting the sizes even for all of the squares that are on the block a week Cal that Dedri has blogged about, she actually specifies exactly what she has done to each one to get them all the same, really worth a read:

Also this is the square (Odyssey) that she said was the biggest from the whole CAL (and I imagine we'll be doing a good few from this set of squares over our CAL this year) so I was thinking that maybe we should look at doing this one as the first February one making it easier to then get the sizes right for all the rest. What do you all think?

Jess posted on the first square about all the ends that you have to deal with, I thought of this post I read as an option to try which means you do it as you go, thought it may be worth a try or at least a read!

This method for doing tails as you go looks good too:

and this one:

I think I'm going to make an effort to do it as I go as I'm not a fan at all of sewing in the ends. My ripple blanket currently has about 20 that need doing   but I'm now just crocheting over as I go - they are left from ages ago (not sure why I didn't do it then!)

Thanks @clothmama!
Love that square so I would love to do that one for february.

About the join as you go...have been thinking about that but.....I'm not sure yet about my layout and I wanna put them together with a decorative stitch in a contrasting color so I'll wait till they are all done ;)

Just noticed (didn't checked links you posted yet :giggle: ) they are about they ends....I make a knot everytime and wave the ends in as a go like the mypoppet link tells....doesn't work when you do lots of chainspaces but those ones I'll weave in in the en.
