More Christmas baking!

Only dh and me eat Christmas cake - so I've decided to not make one this year and try my hand at making stollen instead.
Didn't seem to rise during proving like I has hoped - but once baked it's turned out brilliantly!

Also make some biscuits too. I asked James and Eleanor to pick the cutters - hence I've ended up with more sci-fi and prehistoric themed baked goods!! :lookaround:

Yummy! I made our stollen yesterday. Only panettone to go and that's all the baking done. Oh and the yule log!

Im going to try stained glsss biscuits again today. Tge last batch I made splurged.... they didnt really keep tgeir shape. I think im making tgem too thick. Can you think of any other reason tgey might be doing it @louise @docmaggoo?

I've not tried stained glass window biscuits yet.
But I'm going to do some on Christmas Eve before I leave for work.
Did you make the "glass" bit too runny? Would that have made it run.

Pop them in the fridge after cutting before you bake them.

I think the glass bit was ok. Ill try chilling them
