Thanks everyone, the chuteny is in along with mincemeat, Xmas pudding & biscuits. I'm sure other things will be added too :D

Yes yum yum yum!
I have made for the past 2 years, and hope to make quince and Apple chutney ( only as I have them growing in my garden), this year. I always give them as presents. My step dad has even put in a special order and provided me with a very large jar for him.
It's really easy to make too just and unlike jam doesn t need straining or boiling at a specific temp.

Yep jars from the range or Lakeland or my local hardware store does them. My gran in law also cannot throw a jar away so gives me some

Have fun

Love homemade chutneys and jams. My sister made some green tomato chutney last year and got really lovely jars and I was thrilled to bits.

I first made chutney for some home made hampers I was putting together for Christmas 2009.
It went down a storm with everyone who received a jar & there were requests for more last Christmas too :giggle:
I made some savoury biscuits as well, bought some cheeses from a local cheese place & that along with some port I bought with my Nectar points made for a few very happy close friends, neighbour & relatives at fairly little cost to myself
