Miss_Purple wrote:They are fab! But will the picture on the back of Katie's be right when it's turned round? It looks like the bits on the left will be on the right when you turn it round (ie the bit that should be on the back of box 1 is on box 17)

Ignore me if I'm making no sense!

I *think* it will come out fine. I may have to experiment to find out!

@Louise - they look great. What are you putting in them? :nosey: I'm making an advent calendar for the children and am going for things to do/make, rather than trinkets or chocolate, but am running out of ideas!

Mini bubbles, chocolates and sweets, rubbers, pencil toppers, stickers, Christmas tattoos, hairclips for the girls and stretchy alien for R, mini balloons. There are some days where the treat won't fit in so I am hiding them somewhere else and doing a treasure hunt type clue so they have to find it.

@Soupdragon I am just doing our advent lunchbox notes with jokes on one side and Christmas activities on the other. So far I have the following -

Read the Christmas story.
Visit Santa's Grotto.
Write a letter to Santa.
Make some Christmas cards.
Decorate mugs for teachers gifts. (I've bought some plain white mugs and the children will decorate them with porcelain pens)
Make Christmas decorations (I will probably do this a few times as there are a few different ones we are going to make)
Make Snowman soup
Make a nativity scene
Make gingerbread
Make Christmas cupcakes
Make Christmas playdough
Make a Christmas bookmark and read a Christmas book
Watch a Christmas film
Make some Christmas cards
Make paper chains
Make mince pies
Find and read a Christmas story from a different culture
Decorate the Christmas tree
Make Christmas biscuits
Go for a drive to see some Christmas lights (there is a road nearby where they have a competition - who can have the most extravagant display outside their house  )
Go to a Christmas Carol service
Colour a Christmas picture
Find out about and make a Christingle

I finished my list! Our calendar has these things to do:

Plant sunflowers.
Make gift tags.
Make milkshakes. (Or hot chocolates, if it's not too warm!)
Star gazing.
Make salt dough tree ornaments.
Make paper chains.
Make felt owl and Christmas pudding tree ornaments.
Go to the Christmas Spectacular at the park.
Go camping in the garden.
Make baubles and stars tree ornaments.
Eat ice creams after dinner.
Pack a picnic dinner and have it at the national park.
Buy a present to give to charity.
Make orange pomanders.
Set up the Christmas tree.
Go to Luna Park.
Write a letter to Father Christmas.
Make footprint butterflies. http://doitandhow.com/2012/03/21/finger ... tterflies/
Go to the panto at the library.
Make Christmas cookies and decorate them.
Watch a Christmas film with popcorn.
Make mince pies.
Go to the Opera House to see ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Have fish and chips at the beach.
Skype people.

I'll have to come up with a couple of alternatives closer to the date that the camping and beach are planned, just in case the weather's awful.
