Glowing wall willies - help! Update and pic page 7

I shall have a think...how tall is the wall willie in question ie. The distance from the wall to the end of the lightbulb plus at least an inch extra for ventilation? X @clothmama

Wall to end of wall willy is 27 cm so say 30 to include ventilation!

OK so my IKEA trip yielded a possible result I think this twist on the round paper shade is quite nice, I only got 1 to be getting on with and think I'll try to get a shorter bulb. Also wonder if I can cover the hole in the end somehow? With paper or fabric or if there won't be enough ventilation? So what do you guys think? Does this work? should I get more and do the others?
