Now that sounds fab! For someone who hasn't done origami since 3rd grade I wouldn't know where to start! Do you know of any tutorials? Any idea how to fix it to the light?

You need to make out of the cardboard a basic shape-could be a circle but a hexagon or something might be better-and make a hole in the middle for the light fitment to fit within: you'd then need either glue but id use thread or even string to attach together a number or shapes; or you could make a single large shape and attach the edges around the card. Will try and dig out a tutorial or at least a photo in progress x eta-you could use anything to attach tbh as youre attaching the surround and shape to the wall not the light so even tack might do the trick x

Ps- you have to have an extremely clean surface to work from and when folding use paper to go over your folds or you'll see finger smudging and oil when you turn the light on. Youre lightfitting height sticking out from the wall would possibly be the best starting measurement if those are the bulbs you'll keep on using x

@Dora they are soo pretty! I had a look and the thought of doing that many little things for all the lights I have made me go I wonder though if there is big origami as in just using 2 or 3 sheets of paper to make a kind of folded light shade?
