Improving our living areas!

We for some unknown reason (I think because original plan was to lime render which is a logistical and messy nightmare in a living area) have been living with a nasty breeze block wall in the entry since we arrived.
Around 2pm it looked like this:

Final big bit in:


J just finished the top little bit and plastering the first layer of the joints and then I'll get another pic

ETA can't believe what a difference it makes already and what a quick job WHY didn't we do it years ago

The top strip finished and the first layer of joint plaster done, another coat tomorrow morning, then 24 hours for sand and final coat then I can paint

Oh no that is wierd top not done on that pic! I'll need to retake a pic in the morning, too dark now!

As you say @clothmama it will feel so much brighter with the change of colour.

Final sanding sorted by DH this morning:



Then I painted the first coat - I'm pretty pleased with the coverage (is end of the pot so quite thick!) so will only need to do one more coat tomorrow!:
