For the past week or so Roxy has been getting sore in her cloth, suspected bold so stripped washed in aerial and whilst doing that she was in sposies, stunk but no rash. Back in cloth today and has been getting red again resulting in very red tonight. I did think teething but no obvious teeth coming, the cold she has or starting weaning but would she not be red in sposies too? Is it still the powder poss sensitive to aerial aswell? any suggestions welcome. I am at stage if I didn't love my stash and hate smell/chemicals I would quit cloth and go sposies (now I found ones that suit my hypo sensative girl :roll: ) as this with still not finding right nn combo is making me :x.

We are going through rash patches, not all the time but alot of the time which makes me think out problem is teething related. Not sure what yours could be if its a constant rash in cloth?

What cream/ointment etc are you using on it if any?

Is the rash bothering her at all?

using metanium and beptham.

It didn't appear to be until tonight where she cried when I wiped her :(. Thinking I am going to have to try yet another powder but don't know which as not sure fairy and the like will cope with getting rid of stains now she is weaning, it never did with older kids clothes hence switching to bold few months back.

Sorry didn't think of posting there :oops: :doh: Will go have a look at stickies

ETA name of creams.

someone pm'd me about rashes recently and said that metanium was causing problems and may have contributed so ditch it and try something else instead...

provided you rinse well there shouldn't be any detergent residue in the fabric anyway so it shouldnt' be that...

Ahh you could well be onto something with that as I have metanium at home but bethampe in change bag. Thinking about it the days she was in sposies we were out and about mostly so only had odd change with metanium. Will def ditch it and see. Now why I didn't I twig that difference earlier :doh: thank you.

Do you use fleece linners?
Do you use cloth or disposable wipes?

I have had problems with nappy rash recently. I stopped using fleece Linners and I only wipe if she does a poo.
I'm tired now so will find the link to a post that helped me tomorrow.

Wiping just irritates the rash. I tend to leave kaydi nappy free for a bit at each nappy change.

Sometimes if it gets really bad I have to use disposables for a couple of days.
I must say since I started using minkee linners or no linner in obv nappies It's much better.

I use combo of fleece+ minkee liners and mainly cloth wipes use disps ones when out.

But I have just google metanium reactions and apparently some babies do react to the titanium in it, which would make sense as there is family histroy, myself included of only being able to wear solid gold jewllery and can't wear watches either and thinking about it more I had misplaced it for a while so had been using beptham so think Steph may of nailed it, that I have inadvertently made the rash worse using metanium. I love this board thanks again for all advice given. :hug:
