Thrush?

So, Oliver has what we thought was just teething rash - a couple of weeks ago a huge blister formed on his bum, then was followed by some small blisters on his testicles then a couple of days ago his foreskin started to look swollen and raw - this is all par for course with Oliver, it happens every so often. The first blister is healing (it was seriously massive and just appeared overnight, with no change to diet the previous day, we think this was when one of his teeth broke through).
The other spots and the swollen and sore foreskin happen all the time, but it occurred to me it could be thrush? They are quite small, biggest they get on his testicles is the size of one of the smiley faces They look like blisters, then turn into open craters that weep for a few days, sometimes bleed, and then heal.
We use timodine (got it last year for a fungal infection on his penis) on it when it's like this, and try to give him nappy free time. Nappies are all washed at 60, stripped every month or so, fleece liners get washed when we notice build-up on them. I don't wipe him unless he's pooed.
I know the most qualified people to tell are doctors, but would they give me anything other than timodine? It seems particularly painful this time, he sobs with pain when we wipe him or put cream on. Like I said before though, he is also teething badly.
