So this is my first batch after rehydrating the grains I was given on Saturday. It tastes like Greek yoghurt but smells a bit yeasty so I'm just waiting for some people in the know to tell me whether I've poisoned myself :hohoho: if not it's been frozen for the dogs and made in to overnight oats for me and hubby (if I'm going down I'm taking him with me :loopy: :yohoho: )

Well id say the first batch was a success, hubby and i had our oats this morning and we're both still here. More oats in for tomorrow (banana, cashew butter and raisins  ) and the biggest win is Austin had some and enjoyed it! Admittedly made a chocolate milkshake but he knew it was different and drank it anyway and said he liked it, I'd say that's a parenting win.

So I thought I'd do a little update.
I'm making enough kefir for hubby and I to have oats each morning and Austin to have his milk each night, every third or fourth day I do a big batch and take some down for MIL too. I'm really enjoying it, it has helped A with the tummy cramps he was getting (so he says, placebo or otherwise I'm taking it as a win). I don't know what difference hubby or i should see when we have a pretty good diet and stuff anyway but its certainly not going to hurt to add in all the benefits it comes with and it's much easier and less faffy than I thought it would be :)
