This depends on how often you want to wash a nappy load, your drying facilities (do you plan to always air dry or tumble dry?), the drying times of the nappies that you plan to buy (bamboo is much slower to dry than microfibre), the age of your baby and how often you plan to change your baby (cloth nappies are changed more often than disposables – roughly every 3 hours).
A newborn will use around 8-10 nappies a day. An older baby might only use 6-8 nappies a day. 24 nappies are usually recommended for a newborn, if you’re planning to wash every other day.
