Stripping Nappy rash cream

Postby quorlia » Wed Nov 21, 2012 8:14 pm

We've had nasty nappy rash and we've been advised to use sudocreme and some prescribed cream until it clears up.

So my nappies are going to need stripping. We have day AIO pocket nappies which are microfibre and PUL and bamboo little lambs at night (with the fleece liner).

I'm planning on doing them by adding washing up liquid to the machine then stopping it and letting then soak overnight. We have REALLY soft water so not sure how much to use. I only need a teaspoonful of powder (the dishwasher doesn't need salt either) and a couple of drops of the washing up liquid is enough to wash all but the very greasyist things.

Could you use an extra fleece liner in between baby and nappy that way the cream shouldn't touch the nappy at all. We've always used fleece liners with cream and never had any problems.
As an aside, we swear by lanolin for nappy rash. Sudocrem does nothing for Ed's rashes.
