It could be that the Oz detergent 'dawn' is quite watery/weak and not quite as concentrated as e.g. fairy so you wouldn't need that much...

how often do you need to strip nappies?
and I dont have any bio powder (bought 24kilos of fairy NON bio when it was on offer so stuck with that for some time!) how much washing up liquid do you need to use?

Dreading seeing my filter on the washing machine....we have had it 6 years and neither me or hubby know where the filter is.....its never been emptied....i know,,,,the shame....

Yup for a strip wash they will be fine (I never had a problem anyway) but I wouldn't for every wash.

Just wondered if anyone can help!

My washer dryer really smells, more when I'm drying than when the clothes or nappies come out! I have done 2 maintenance washes at 90 degrees 1 with soda crystals and 1 with BIO powder! It still smells any other suggestions?

I have also cleaned the fliter and washed out the drawer to so thats clean! I have really tried everything I can think of! :x

First check the rubber for mildew. If that is fine, then you have a build up somewhere. Do a 90 wash with white vinegar. Use a full small bottle of it & that should clean it out. Do you use liquid or powder normally? Liquid causes a lot of build up.

Rubber is fine, we also had that replaced less than a year ago!

I put white vinegar in with the soda crystals but will try that again and see what happens!

I use powder I know that liquid is bad and prefer the smell of powder!!!! :giggle:

Waiting for bubba 3 and want to make sure their nappies smell nice when they come out so will try the vinegar and see what happens! If you can think of anything else that might help I'll try anything! :giggle:
