Pooey poo poo washing machine

Help! My washing machine smells icky. I've done high washes with white vinegar but that doesn't seem to help. Any other suggestions?

Also my nappies don't smell but when they are wet and in the dryer it does whiff. This makes me think they're still full of amonia and not clean enough, so I did a 60 wash with them this weekend but is there anything else I can do, short of boiling them!!

Do you think it's because I use Surcare and it's not very strong?

do you do a COLD quick rinse before you wash? The heat can set smells. Maybe try a load with full amount of bio powder and then do and extra rinse.

We have to use bio powder and wash a 60 or the nappies always smell.

Soda crystals in the machine works well to clean it too.

They don't smell too bad if just left on the rads but the tumble drier really kicks out a stink sometimes!

So where do I get me some soda crystals?

Oh and I'm scared to use bold because of Erin's skin... might try it on a few nappies tomorrow rather than a whole load in case it irritates her.
